...Projects with Microsoft Project
This two-day course is for people who are at or near the beginning of their
project management career. If you know what a critical path is, that's fine,
but it's not essential. You'll learn the basics of project management and how Microsoft Project
works, then build a plan and take it through its life cycle, with relevant
reports.
What you'll learn and do:

understanding task types and work
- What makes a comprehensible report and how to produce it
- Correct mistakes and avoid pitfalls
- Not to be afraid of resource levelling
- Analyse resource usage and costs;
use the Resource Graph and Usage views with appropriate timescales
- Using filters, tables and views
to get a clear picture
- Saving a baseline and tracking progress
- Re-scheduling incomplete work
and comparing the plan with the baseline; variances
- Good practices and techniques to save time and effort
