Microsoft
Project training courses are available
covering all current Microsoft Project versions - 2003,
2002, 2000 and '98 . Whatever your needs, Inherent
Training offers free advice and ideas
about training and support to help you and your organisation meet your
business goals.
We are happy to adapt our original Microsoft Project courses to suit your training needs. Please ask.
Please note that we won't say
"press that button and it does this". We explain what a project is, its
life-cycle, how to plan tasks and assign resources as reasonably and
realistically as possible and appropriately for your organisation's needs, using
Microsoft Project. Then
you'll know when to press that button and why. We have over 25 years'
experience of training and working with planning packages and 15 years' with
Microsoft Project. We are specialists and train only Microsoft Project and
project office support software.
Here are brief summaries of the Microsoft Project courses. Click on the title for full details.

Microsoft Project

essentials of the two-day courses above. It's best for a smaller group
(up to four) who have
some experience of project management tools, theory and practice because it
crams a lot into one day.

- Managing Resources with Microsoft
Project
- A one-day practical course, designed for the
experienced planner or manager who needs to make the most of Microsoft Project's
resource management and analysis features. Get on top of resource
levelling, understand resource assignments, calendars, task types, use generic and
individually-named resources and manage costs. Use the different
reports to communicate the right information. This day works best when
you supply a list of topics and specific questions.
-
- Managing Multiple Projects with Microsoft
Project
- A one-day course for the experienced
project manager with lots of projects or who is setting up or running
the project support office. This is not easy
so learn the shortcuts and save yourself a lot of time and effort.
Consolidate projects using different methods, share
resources, use resource
pools and analyse
results to give you the reports you need. This course can be tailored
to meet your needs and involve your own projects, if you
wish. You don't need to spend a fortune on
expensive multi-user software. This course also helps you to work out
your own project office procedures and support systems: templates,
calendars, sharing resources and reports with others.
